The Shirley Historical Society Museum is Open most Mondays and Saturdays
10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. for visitors, researchers, and volunteers.
Also open many Thursday mornings and other times by appointment or by chance.

LOCAL EVENTS IN 2017



Saturday April 29th - 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm Open Houses Fundraiser. Visit 9 homes in a variety of architectural styles. Tickets $25 if bought in advance and $30 if bought that day. www.shirleyhistory.org.  Tickets are now on sale at Hazen Library and at the Museum.

Tuesday May 2nd - Shirley Town Election Day, 7 am - 8 pm at Town Offices

Saturday May 6th - Town Wide Yard Sale Day - Please donate good used items to the Museum and volunteer to help set up, take down, or sell.
Anyone who wants to sponsor their own yard sale can email Rosie at rchrlh@comcast.net to be added to the public list of sales.

Saturday May 6th - 10:00 am - 3:00 pm - Tours of the Historic Shirley Meetinghouse


Saturday May 6th - 7:00 pm - ShirleyArts! Spring Concert - featuring songs and dances from our favorite Broadway shows. At Ayer Shirley Middle School, $10 admission at the door.


Saturday May 13th - 7:00 pm - Opening display and program at Shirley Historical Society Museum for Waste Not - Want Not. This display will include artifacts from the Great Depression and current efforts to reduce, re-use, and recycle. 

Monday May 15th - Shirley Annual Town Meeting - 7:00 pm at Ayer Shirley Middle School

Wednesday May 17th - 7:30 pm - Community Forum on the Three Abrahamic Faiths at Trinity Chapel - 978-425-9041

Sunday May 21st - 12:30 pm - Guided Tour of Shirley Shaker Village. Reservations must be made in advance for $15.

at the Meetinghouse, $10 donation

Friday June 23rd - 6:00 pm - Concert on the Common in Shirley Center with The Fabulous Dinosaurs, popular music, food sales begin at 5:30, sponsored by Shirley Charitable Foundation

Friday June 30th - 6:00 pm - Concert on the Common in Shirley Center with Nashoba Valley Concert Band, patriotic tunes, show songs, popular music, food sales begin at 5:30, sponsored by Shirley Charitable Foundation

Saturday July 8th - 4:00 pm - Historic Pub Crawl Fundraiser - Meet at the Bull Run for introduction, then board a bus and go to sites of 21 drinking establishments. Reservations and payment of $20 must be made in advance.
