The Shirley Historical Society Museum is Open most Mondays and Saturdays
10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. for visitors, researchers, and volunteers.
Also open many Thursday mornings and other times by appointment or by chance.
Call ahead if you want to be sure.

SPECIAL SHIRLEY EVENTS IN 2019
 
Every Thursday - August, September and October - 3:30 - 6:30 pm - Shirley Farmer's Market on the town green in front of the Police Station, vendors sell fruit, vegetables, baked goods, honey, crafts, town souvenirs and more.
Musical entertainment each week and activities for children.

Saturday September 21st - 10:00 am - 2:00 pm - on the Square in front of the Police Station Public Safety Day sponsored by Shirley Police and Fire  

Saturday September 21st -  1:00 - 3:00 pm - Valley Farm Guided Hike - space limited, must reserve with Nashua River Watershed at (978) 448-0299  mailto:KateM@NashuaRiverWatershed.org

Saturday September 21st - 9:30 - 11:30 am - Search for Beavers at Farandnear Trustees member families $12, nonmembers $20. Register at kswanberg@the trustees.org

Saturday September 28th - 7:00 am - 8:00 pm - Special Town Election regarding approval to borrow to fund new athletic fields at the high school. Voting is at Town Offices

Saturday September 28th - Ales and Trails Brewfest on the Common to raise money for the Meetinghouse ron.banay@gmail.com

Sunday September 29th - Holdenwood Trail Run in Shirley Center to benefit Ayer Shirley School District students. http://www.holdenwoodtrailrun.org/

Saturday, October 5th 9:00 am - 2:00 pm  Annual Autumn Yard Sale  on the grounds of the Historical Society Museum Donations of books, baked goods, and flea market items are needed. We will also be selling Shirley souvenirs and chili and will need volunteers to help out.  www.shirleyhistory.org

Monday October 14th 2:00 - 4:00 pm Fredonian Park Anniversary To be held at Fredonian Park.
With the cooperation of the Conservation Commission, the Historical Society will explain the history and the future of the area and have a band concert in the gazebo. Bring lawn chairs and picnics  and enjoy yourselves. www.shirleyhistory.org
