10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. for visitors, researchers, and volunteers.
Also open many Thursday mornings and other times by appointment or by chance.

LOCAL EVENTS IN 2018


Sunday January 28th - 2:00 pm at Historical Society Museum Opening reception and program about Ethel Bolton, Shirley Artist-Historian. She researched, wrote, and illustrated our town history. Program is free and open to the public. www.shirleyhistory.org

Sunday February 18th - 2:00 pm  at the Historical Society Museum - Shirley History Family Game Day. Bring a team or join one and have fun while learning about Shirley history.

Sunday March 11th - 2:00 pm at Historical Society Museum - Shirley Flora and Fauna. In 1976, a committee listed all the native plants and animals found in our town. Come help us discuss and update that lost.

Saturday April 7th - 7:00 pm at Historical Society Museum - From Flax to Linen - Demonstration and Opening Reception for display of spinning tools.
Program is free and open to the public. www.shirleyhistory.org

Saturday May 12th - 1:00 pm - Benton MacKaye Memorial Hike - Start at the Museum for some background information, then go on a guided walk on neighboring conservation land. Program is free and open to the public. www.shirleyhistory.org

Saturday June 9th - 11:00 am - 5:00 pm - Shirleyfest - for family food and fun with music, games, and crafts. An opportunity for local non-profit organizations to raise money. Contact mail@shirleyarts.org.

Saturday September 15th - 7:00 pm - at Historical Society Museum - Opening Program and Reception for display on The 1918 Flu Epidemic

Saturday October 6th - 9:00 am - 2:00 pm - Annual Fall Foliage Book and Bake Sale at the Museum.
